Friends Are Amazing Things To Have

About a good friend of mine. I was going through a really, really super hard time when I wrote this and he was the one that got me through it

It's all over

I can't pretend

My crash is coming

To a violent end

Sometimes I wonder

If maybe it would help

To ask someone

Would they rescue me

 

Who ever you are

Please come find me

I just want to be happy

And I need to feel safe desperately

There's a new friend of mine

Who I always like to hug

'Cause whenever he holds me

I don't know but I just feel so loved

And I know that I just met him

But now I think that he's my muse

Makes me feel so creative and poetic

Helps me get my feelings out, express myself

Sometimes I want to run, just to get away

Then he hugs me and makes me feel okay

 

What I can't get at home

I can find it in his arms

 

All the pain I feel

Just fades away

I thank God for him

Every single day

 

Hope he'll be my friend

And when he needs me then

Or if I need him

We'll have each other to fall back on

And if he needs me now

I'll be there for him

There is no doubt
