Behind these tears is a story, and yes it’s one full of sorrow. These tears fall with no hope of a better tomorrow. They drip and drop while we pray to god that our pain will stop. Forced from the land we love with every inch of our heart. Taken away from what was ours from the start. Treated cruel and inhumane, how would they like to endure this pain? They don’t see us as people. We’re just a smudge that needs to be erased. They don’t care about how much we suffer. They don’t care at all. I know they see us falling apart. I’m convinced that they can’t possibly have a heart. Are they amused by the tragedy they see? We’re nothing but an order that was given. That’s all they see, so many deaths along this trail. All our bodies soon will fail. Why do they think this is right? Through this cruel, inhumane darkness, I believe we’ll never find the light. The sound of children crying, and bodies hitting the ground, how much longer will my ears suffer from that depressing sound. All our bodies are aching and screaming let us rest. I’m thankful for the heart that’s still beating, beating in my chest. Behind these tears is a story, and yes it’s one full of sorrow. These tears fall with no hope of a better tomorrow.
