Million and one piecesA Poem by Too PoeticA poem about heartbreak.
A million and one pieces,
drifting with the wind. Scattering across the world. A million and one pieces, Locomoting throughout the globe. A shattered and broken heart, shattered into a million and one, with each piece drifting alone. Without a single implementation of hope, A shattered heart, has no medicine. Mystics, witches nor doctors, know not a cure nor ailment, for the likes of an aching heart. It weeps day and night, tears That run like a roaring river, Streams that seem endless. When those tears come forth no more, Surely do the eyes not go blind? For in every well, abundant as it may be Indeed it runs dry, when used unsparingly. Oh aching heart, calm all your worries. The world is not over as it might seem, Your heart will be whole once more, The pieces will fall together once more, A million and one pieces falling in unity, Oh aching heart, let patience be the key To unlocking times before the suffering, times when you were once happy and carefree. © 2016 Too PoeticAuthor's Note
