Fleet of Feeling

Fleet of Feeling

A Poem by Butch Decatoria
"

Retitled from Toy Soldier

"

Toy Soldier

a fleet of feeling

a bunker of desire

khaki passions

fatigues disfiguring

sex and reveille / in our closets

 grab them nuts

bridge flesh to tingling touch

orgasm shots

arsenal of cream

earthquaking bones

eyes roll back

body / solid / fall

taps

"lights out!"

now, let this army sleep

tomorrow is another target practice

slumber deep

toy soldier, mine,

taps

and you are still armed

your rifle

hot against my sweat / smothered skin

do not forget me

in our closet

when you fight the world and dark

fire

death

guns

in your heady dreams

we are wheeling

remember, toy soldier, mine

i am here

a fleet of feeling...
