Sunset (In Three forms)

Sunset (In Three forms)

A Poem by Butch Decatoria
"

Haiku, Cinquain, Epitaph

"

(Haiku)

My mortality

tho' bright, reminds me like this

sunset in my eyes.

(Cinquain)

Heavy

in flesh and bone

is my mortality,

reminded - this light in my eyes...

sunset.

(Epitaph)

His world's new and sunrise bright

His mortal eyes reviews in/sight

Now heavy in bone, flesh in spite

Sunset reminds impending night.

I loved all three of these. Great writing, and outstanding form. I can't think of a thing I would change about any of them.

This was a unique way to write a poem, and nicely
written, however, with the Cinquain poem you used
mortality, and was also used in the Haiku. I just feel that using
double words, just seems to stop the flow, even though they
are different types of poems.
