Kiss & Tell

Kiss & Tell

A Poem by Butch Decatoria
"

One of the firsts in poems I wrote in my twenties, experimenting with sounds and images to evoke a feeling...

"

He conjures conscience

constable of contrived control

pontiff in a pool of dogmas

commanding total touch

lover, filigree in shadow-figures

poses in folds of focus

he is the flush

I am the flurry

isotopes fashioned for synergy

ping-pong pleasing poetry

in the poise

that invokes a man's magic...

He brings love

as if it were the last remedy

in this, our reluctant relish,

our satin satire

when we swell, swirl, swish

somehow we understand

kindled by this kink

kissed by kismet's lending lure

I am the murk

and he is the pure...

He stirs manx and mesh

a mint-tingle on my flesh

an open oyster

which offers a pearl

with its whole entire shell

he is my blush

I am his kiss and tell...
