Sin City Street Haiku Journal 1

Sin City Street Haiku Journal 1

A Poem by Butch Decatoria

2-09-18

Stroll to Spring Mountain
Road, for a pack of white “Time”
At Deep’s Smoke & Vape

It’s dark early now
Boulevard loud with traffic,
And street lights’ hot glow.

Blue muddied t-shirt
“Superior” cross the heart
Unworn in tatters.

The Harley’s thunder
Kick start loud, the asphalt screams,
Homelessness sirens.

Walking Mojo back
Homeward rushing, a taunt leash,
Avoiding wilder things.

It’s an early night
Just after the sun winks out
Rushing home ‘fore dark.
