love the title ... a consummate, introspective person am i! i feel comfort and peace reflecting on each line as well .. i especially appreciate the second line .. i can swim but have never really enjoyed it ...i like a lazy back float better ;) but those surfacing breathes become a bit divine .. i think you could leave the (we) out ...i think the line holds more punch that way .... i think fear is one of the first adversaries one must control on an enlightened path ...lots to mull over in reading "Doorways" ... i like it!
