PASSERSBY

PASSERSBY

A Poem by Butch Decatoria
"

Work in progress...

"
Times Square
Thoroughfare

I am only a pedestrian
The clocks my plebeian clones mine
in bustling herds
Rolex and I
Both of us only passersby.

The wilderness stampedes without mercy
nature keeps beasts her fierce company
the jungle wiles of animal farms
deny dismissal of fiscal preys
the seasons hunting party skyline
billboard neon lights
blinks bling blind - passersby...

Caution Danger read the signs
There be hungry homeless desperate
pissed pistol pockets
insatiable
O G- is for Geezus Juiced guerilla greed
Beware none here care to try
carry on - harry thru - passersby.
black AND white / hate is colorblind
Chi-raq cries otherwise

Did you glimpse a good life, in passing by?

The fatal wounds of uncaring times
Each of us a single bullet
each one for another
shots in the dark - all passersby

I am one pedestrian
walking the tight rope towers with time
You and I and together all
passersby...

(to be cont.)
