LETTERS & WALLS & HOME

A Poem by Butch Decatoria

HOME
The breath in our lungs
touched by familiar faces
always where love is.

WALLS & LETTERS

1. The self is heavy
with bone and chaos / need
     leaves no peace of mind.

2. Upon his stone walls
     hollowed by desire's pain
     paper wail to gods.

3. (Verona)
    Mon ami, tu vas...
    your heart in calligraphy
    for the saint of bricks...

4. Yet with all of these
    deafening human silences
    proof of one's belief...

STILL...
No end to the ends
of time, my flesh must depend,
screaming at their walls.
