Jealousy

Jealousy

A Poem by Butch Decatoria
"

Knock knock knock

"
There's a black door between us,
And neither thinks to knock

Jazz horns replace our screams
Attempting to be heard,
To unlock our hot ice dreams

There is a black door between us
Communication is inhibited
Can't see each other in each other's eyes
Or touch with frequent quietude
Find your solidity at sun's rise

But the black door between us
Is like a blind mirror reflecting our trust
We stare through to only find the night
Without a hint of pallor or light

Neither thinks to knock

The far away black door between us
Hindering sight of one another's wishes
Makes both of / all of us wonder
Paranoia at the noise of breaking dishes
Footsteps on the wooden floor for thunder
Scenarios flicker an orgy in Real-time / playa

There's a black door between us,
And I must admit, I was scared to lose you
Went out of my skin to keep all this
In check / on lock
Doomedtofail.relationship

Neither think to knock.
