Plus Quam Perfectum (More Than Perfect)

Plus Quam Perfectum (More Than Perfect)

A Poem by Butch Decatoria

Palms in polished phrases
Upon your body -- a tour
After we've sweat-spoken
Zip codes of zippers, zoos,
Zones of you

Undulations of flesh
The verve of your nest,
Touch galvanized, meshed,
Every transient kiss
Finding formulation

Sometimes I feel
I am undeserving
This thermal throne,
Your pulsating power
These plush, pleasing hours
Afire

Plus Quam Perfectum
The luminosity of you
That warms me, wizardry,
And when asleep next to you
I am complete, I am new
I am the truth,
With you

I worship.
