An Intentional Mistake I Knew Nothing AboutA Poem by Jack CassidyExploring loneliness....
I'm up in this motel,
worrying about what hasn't happened. The sound of the freeway, it's buzzing with life and monotony. Never did erase my past, now left with a debilitating future. Lying here in comfort, I'm blowing kisses at nothing special. How alarming it is, to find yourself alone a lot. Even with people surrounding, I don't know where I'm at. Earlier I smiled, at a waitress who ignored me. Is it always unpleasant, to strike out with such frequency? The day is remembering my first day, when life was nothing but promise. I sigh, sadly and eagerly, about what my next first day will be like. © 2014 Jack CassidyReviews
