A Reflection While We WalkedA Poem by Jack CassidyAn insight a friend and I shared...
Have you dared to confront your foes?
Belligerent, looking straight at you, with clenched fists and teeth grinding. These frauds have been burnt many times, only to rise from the ashes, and garner your notions about ecstasy. They want to efface your symbol, your existence, your indentations on these sandy shores and huddled forests. But no savage, no gentle one can delineate what is in the mind of the future. I've witnessed those falsehoods, laughed hysterically in their faces, then simply walked away. I could feel their grimey claws lunging after what was never theirs. A holy man might judge them fools, but what is held within our heart is an answer that shall forever remain an enigma to us if we're fortunate. © 2014 Jack CassidyReviews
