The SlumbererA Poem by Jack CassidyWhat's behind it all...
Sleep like you were ushered into a broken slumber,
everyone has departed from the room. Dream loudly and vividly, flush out the thoughts that kept you stirring at night. Fix yourself and break open your betraying mind. It taunts you like a distant lover, that will never utter the words you would easily swallow whole. So reach inside, tear it apart, the past are just pieces now, strung together, unsettled and unchambered. The thoughts will flurry, flutter and fall blankly to the ground. Scatter them across the landscape, into forms sufficient for tomorrow's rainshower. © 2014 Jack CassidyReviews
