Fragmented Fortitude

Fragmented Fortitude

A Poem by Jack Cassidy
"

Your translation will probably be better.

"
Yes, it's a piece on fear.
And yes, it might give you cold sweats and force the heart from its vessel.
This worded thing, a compounded page of guilt that forbids your salvation.
It's an underlying note of romantic discontent,
irrevocable is its willingness to tarnish your adherence.
A general malaise will undoubtedly fill your world with an uptight scowl,
which still possesses the aforementioned fear I've exposed so plainly.
So then test your decisive undertakings with abandonment,
even if that means absorbing some hurt.

Really well said, thank you.
i love the theme....

we have to approach life sometimes with abandonment and no fear of getting hurt...otherwise we will become stone cold and dead in the water...we have to feel to be alive, even if it is pain.

Truth in your words Jacob, thank you for your feedback.
Help me, I've fallen for your poem.
It hurts, but not enough to break me.
I will leave you now, stronger and wiser.
