Stay Calm

Stay Calm

A Poem by Jack Cassidy

These questions won't harbor sadness,
not deprived with an attentive eye.

Cartilage will be ripped and torn,
but your weak body won't feel a thing.

No one can notice the majesty,
without weeping with the poor that die.

A great distance away from who you once were,
memories will serve shadows in the background.

The memories that serve shadows are poetry in the making.
We live, are weather beaten, we are changed, we die.
In there are some good life experiences.
(But growing older sucks for sure...)

yes, there can be no majesty without weeping for the poor...

and as life goes on and we grow up and older, we do end up a long way from what we once were.
