A Tale of MindA Poem by Jack CassidyWhy bother?
This opening draws distant shapes,
but what I'm seeing isn't real. It's this thing that my eyes do, making up characters and story lines, young lovers dancing under the clouds and sun, friends tossing frisbees and thoughts about the day. Yet here I stand, dreaming up lives and discarding them while my gaze wears thin. So what do I call them, these perfectly sculpted objects in harmonious adulation? I wait for the words a while longer... © 2013 Jack CassidyFeatured Review
