Empty as the Verse...

Empty as the Verse...

A Poem by Jack Cassidy
"

Just maybe...

"
Make sure and remember to sidestep the fog,
that swirling haze that chokes the life from us.

We can forgive the deeds of the corrupt,
and that doesn't mean that we're giving in.

The young and old have done each other harm,
yet that can't take away the thoughts of love and grace,

We never asked for our minds to be erased,
stand up for truth and look fear in the face.

All play also makes you a dull boy, a sad girl,
keep the balance inside let it shine like a pearl.

What I used to know and what I think I knew,
can't change the riches buried within you.

So keep your peace, use your emptiness as strength.
Because with a sound mind, a sound heart,
you'll be able to see freely in the dark.

i really like the theme i saw in this...we forgive and the world gets a little less empty...but there is a certain balance in life, between good and bad, young and old, etc...but if we use emptiness as strength, we can fill the gaps, keep the balance...feel rich inside.
