Societal B*****d

Societal B*****d

A Poem by Jack Cassidy
"

Homelessness...

"
Invested hearts,
forever paralyzed.

Not by bullet,
but by cowardice smiles.

Ones with black lungs,
and perfect concubines.

Prices aren't cheap,
found dead drunk in alleys.

Near the living,
to ponder hollowness.

Where was this promise of deliverance?
