Born to Rest

Born to Rest

A Poem by Jack Cassidy
"

Living without attachment...

"
A finished piece amidst blackened smoke,
unyielding to the dark angel's stoke.

Born to rest into a sea of storms,
cut to pieces by a rose's thorns.

I failed my name in order to fly,
until it's too late then they ask why.

To fully live in love and spare the pull,
show us your sorrow, let it be our fuel.

Stand with your anger and master the beast,
for days are spent on those who need the least.
