Pain as a Brother

Pain as a Brother

A Poem by Jack Cassidy
"

Being aware of your suffering...

"
Distance the fear,
I welcome pain as a brother.

Show your long roots,
so that I may build my garden.

The inside's dark,
walk with me till the light finds us.

Thought I ruined,
instead, you've handed me lessons.

Our past will laugh,
rejoicing the old wounds and scars.

It will be soon,
you'll grow and wander elsewhere.

I'll be waiting,
someday we shall meet again.
