Strong Wind, Soft CompassionA Poem by Jack CassidyNonviolence...
Gently I speak,
even when stubborn ears don't listen. Laid down my sword, so that our hearts may embrace. You may rule the wind, but have you half a smile? Gladly I give, to the thieves and tyrants. Shall kindness touch you, in the darkest corners of the mind. Take all my fortune, so your life will become rich. If there's no place of rest, exile me and take my bed as your own. I walked into this existence, and just the same I shall leave it so. © 2013 Jack Cassidy |
