The MallardA Poem by Jack CassidyObservation of peaceful coexistence...To have the keenest insight, with wings spread over the lake. Receiving crumbs from strangers, how fortunate are my friends. As they make their rounds, I sit so peacefully still. Entranced by a touch of sunlight, feathers now warm and dry. This is my haven to float in, an ecosystem in perpetual motion. Every day is a kind gesture, as I live in Mother's bliss. How do I make these moments quiet? This face of God surrounds me.
