Undying DreamsA Poem by Jack CassidyTo uphold faith in oneself...
As worry comes to stalk the soul,
to kiss the fate and plant the old. To dine on flesh and fill with fear, which rears its face every year. Amidst blackness that hides the heart, among ashen trees sings the lark. While rest may be the peace we need, to appease minds and cease from greed. Our gentle thoughts feed us to grow, ones we forgot we already know. Its love born by way of trying, with dreams healed that lay undying. © 2014 Jack CassidyAuthor's Note
