Lost Blaze

Lost Blaze

A Poem by Diana

Dressed in Black

Darkness Falling

Baby steps is what she now takes

While he eyes sparkle and Light the Way

She reaches to where he lays

And slowly run her icy cold finger tips all around him

Giving him Goosebumps in every which way

As she turns away to look out his window

A Tear slowly drops upon his hand

And all she heard was her tear sizzle

From the heat that was exuding him

She wipes her own tears

That slowly became ice on her face

From how cold she'd become

She then turns around towards him

And gazes at him with such sadness with her icy blues

Slowly growing upset again

Knowing his heart and soul were never fully hers

She places her stone cold hand over her chest

When she realized how much she missed her heart beating

And how she missed it more than missed being with him

She unveiled herself

Slowly getting on her knees

She whispered

"I'm sorry I fell so hard

I'm so sorry for those three precious words leaving the heat of my lips

But I'm not sorry for this...."

Leaning in with her chattering heart shaped lips

They touched his for one final time

As she stood she felt her radiance come to

And she knew that as she walked away

From his tired cold soul

She would be leaving behind a strong and illuminating Blaze

Her Blaze had been Lost for some time

But it was found once again with the last of her Strength
