I’ve been running all my life

Letting my world fall apart

And fade away

Dropping farther from reality

 

The deafening silence cries

Echoing into the hollowed void

That was once my heart

 

Let me slip away

Into the cold embrace of darkness

Consumed by this unending pain

Tourniquet my madness

 

I don’t want to lose myself

But I fear I am already gone

Gone for good; nowhere to be found

 

This harrowed body

Pours its crimson regret

Freed from this jaded perception
