A prayer for our troops

So many men and women,
with their honor leave their home.
To fight a war in another country.
Their futures so unknown.

They had to leave their family,
could you imagine that.
Your loved one so far away,
never knowing where they're at?

These brave souls have traveled great distance,
and show so little fear.
Clinging to a picture,
to keep their loved one near.

We need to stand united,
and back their every play.
As a country get together,
to bow our heads and pray.

Dear father lord in Heaven,
please hear our nations cry.
Keep these men and women safe,
Our tears please help us dry.
You see they fight a war,
a battle not their own.
Their dedication and loyalty,
they have surely shown.
Lord in Heaven, Father above
show these brave souls all of your love.
Keep them safe and out of harm.
Carry them gently in your arms.

In Gods name we pray.....
