Our Soldiers...they are not alone
So many men and women,
have given up their life.
So you and I sleep safely,
in our beds at night.
Marching across an entire country,
trying to set it free.
So they can have some human rights,
just like you and me.
They march along these dirt filled streets,
not knowing where to step.
Looking around for terrorist,
and where there bombs are kept.
Never having time to sleep,
or to just sit down and rest their feet.
Taking an extra minute or so,
to just write home to the ones they know.
They withstand pressures everyday,
that we could not understand.
Anger, fear and hostility,
sweep across this land.
Never knowing who to trust,
who is friend or foe.
Giving it everything they have,
frustration starts to show.
They stand together like family,
catching eachothers back.
working under pressure,
their courage never lacks.
To lose a fellow soldier,
is a loss felt by them all.
There's nothing like the pain they feel,
to see a soldier fall.
This is a simple letter,
to keep us all on track.
America this is our land,
So lets bring our soldiers back.
Lets welcome them with open arms,
and shower them with pride.
Let them know that we all care,
we are on their side.
Send them all your prayers,
God speed that they come home.
Let them know their loved,
they will never be alone........
