I wrote this while my son was in school and had bullies bothering him and it made me think.

Would your words still be so harsh?

So your the bully of the school,
you love being so tough.
Always singling out that one person.
Hurting them from the inside out.
What if I told you they were dying tomorrow?
Would your words still be so harsh?

You love speaking to your parents,
as if they feel no pain.
Like the things you say and do,
don't cut them like a knife.
What if I told you they wouldn't be around tomorrow?
Would your words still be so harsh?

You treat your best friend,
as if you had so many losing one wouldn't matter.
Always telling him what to do,
pushing him around.
What if I told you tomorrow you would be friendless?
Would your words still be so harsh?

You love picking on that homeless man,
the one that's asking you for help on the corner.
Always yelling at him ... telling him he is worthless,
Get a job you bum..... that's your favorite line to him.
What if I told you that man was God?
Would your words still be so harsh?
