Over You

Over You

A Poem by Poetgrl76

Maybe the pain started seeping from the corners of our eyes slowly
I saw you sleeping so softly
Your eyes so gentle
Smile so deep
I wither away with you
I stroll along in your memories
I give to you freely to find you cold and alone
Maybe time has away of making all things shatter
Tears know no end
Pain swells in the depths of the heart
Crosses boundaries it was never made to cross
Time has a way of pushing us all to an uncontrollable end
Takes but does not give
Young eyes see the world as a never-ending fairytale
I see my heart dying with yours
How I wish I could be young with you in another time
Better days
Stronger times
Where have you gone?
This helpless young woman needs you
Will I die without you?
My heart breaks into a million pieces
Over you.
