Victim Before You

Victim Before You

A Poem by Poetgrl76
"

This poem is about the control a person can have over you. Whatever kind it may be.

"
Great power runs through you
You blaze with fire during my weakest times
I bow at your presence time and time again
I push
I pull
I am tempted
Nothing brings me more disgust than to know you hold the key
Do you love to taunt me so?
I find you in the darkest corners
You raise your arms
Stand firm on your pedestal
I am lost in a fog
Is this my tranquility?
Is this supposed to be some kind of honor?
I never knew that it was my turn to be your victim
You threw my key to the wind and here I stand before you.
