Towards The End Of June

Towards The End Of June

A Poem by Echezonachukwu Nduka

Towards the end of june
Suddenly-to me came a tune
A tune so calm, pure and holy
Which I intend to take not for folly
It filled my heart and mind
And my good mood,I tried to find
Though it came to me not in my dream
But to compose,I must find a stream
A stream of waters flowing all night
And I shall stare in wonder like the knight
Who wrote his songs and tunes that way
And before forthnight-he got his pay
I shall do same and never remain the same.
