The Pumpkin Seen
A Poem by Trevor McLeod
Halloween Poem
The pumpkin's eyes are rarely seen without your visions imagined dreams
When edges cut around the eyes are slots for murder man grows wise
That all who rate the pumpkin's smile are offering fate a place defiled
Where every man has cuts his own When going through life a hallo'd drone
For what is life but Halloween When strangers walk the pumpkin seen

I like this poem because I love this time of year and Halloween. This was a haunting delight to read. Wonderful work Trevor.

I like the pumpkin carving and roasting pumpkin seeds on a cookies sheet. Of course the costumes as a kid were so cool. Fall is one time when I feel part of nature. I love taking pictures of the colors and the smell of leaves is the best. Thanks Carlos. Trevor
