"Tears of My Love"

Where has all the love gone

in this world that I have made?

I fear that in the heart of man

this gift's begun to fade.

I made you in my image

and gave you hearts of gold.

For in my Word it's written

as in the days of old.

As I look upon you

tears fall from my eyes.

It comes down in the form of rain

a heavenly disguise.

And when the rain starts falling

it's a blessing from above.

You'll always know deep in your heart

it's the tears of my love.

So where has all the love gone

in this world that I have made?

I fear that in the heart of man

this gifts begun to fade.

So when you see the rain fall

from the heavens up above.

Just remember that the greatest gift

is the giving of your love.

Are you speaking as the voice of God in this work? Beautiful message, artfully done. I think love definitely exists, it's just dusted over with so much media and noise in our lives, that's it's hard to see the good and the hearts that do shine.

...walking from the prison yard one day ...someone said: "Look it's starting to rain, it's a blessing from God." And so this poem was born...I speak in the voice of God, saddened by what He sees in the world today...the hatred, the violence, the abuse of children and woman...people too busy with their lives to care for the next person. I thought of God crying tears from heaven. So it's just a reminder to us that when we see the rain fall...it's Gods way of saying ' I love You"...don't forget to love each other...:)
