"Yesterdays Child"

"Yesterdays Child"

A Poem by Night

Life is sooooo good...!

She reminded me

of lush green meadows

and flowers

in the sun.

A golden child

of goodness

Her life

had just begun.

When she laughed

the world laughed too

and everything

seemed right.

She came into the world

each morning

and filled my heart

with light.

And each time

when the day was done

She'd leave me

with a smile.

I love the memories

that she'd bring

I call her...

"Yesterdays Child".

Thank you and may God bless...Night.2012

I like the simplicity of your work that is dressed in words perfectly chosen. The form is unique and interesting and after reviewing several of your works, I found them all to be truly enjoyable rezds.
