"A Saddened Heart"

"A Saddened Heart"

A Poem by Night

A wilting rose signifies lost love, divorce, or a bad relationship Stock Photo - 8543499

Once upon a saddened heart

a memory I would find

Skies of blue and shades of you

dance within my mind.

Frozen dreams and summer scenes

beckon me with splendor

Days forever I recall

a time of love and wonder.

But upon a second glance

my heart so longed to show

A chance to love you in this life

I would never know.

Beautiful words- very touching, edearing- you brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for sharing this sad, dramatic piece of brilliant poetry. Sometimes, it's the ones that we want to love, but do not get a chance to, that leave such an emotional scarr....
