The Eyes of Grace

 

Seeing our broken form

His compassion moved His heart.

Sheep without a shepherd,

A world set apart.

 

Knowing the great need.

He opened wide heaven’s gates.

He supplied the only Way,
The eyes of grace.

 

The same God who parted the sea,

Has set apart the favored of the Lord

Reaching the broken,

He extended the life-saving Word.

 

Self-righteous leads nowhere,

So, we look to the finisher of our faith;

Leading to life eternal,

The eyes of grace.

 

In His might,

His abundant compassion overflows.

Unwilling to leave us in sin,

Birthed… lived… died… He rose!

 

Dying for all,

He provided the only Way.

Jesus Christ:

The eyes of grace.

In the opening verse, it brought to mind; God's awareness of fundamental human flaws. People are but mere "sheep", to The Lord; "broken" and in need of regular spiritual sustenance.

Your verse lines, are all clear with their meanings. And, managed to encompass all the different implications - of that single word Grace; from a traditional Christian perspective. You have done so, both accurately; and as if speaking from the heart.
