Timeless God

Timeless God

A Poem by Melinda McQueen
"

Inspired by Ecclesiastes

"

Timeless God

In the beginning,

In the ending.

He is there

And He is here.

Seeing all,

The past He calls.

Yesterday He knows,

Tomorrow He bestows.

Time does not still Him,

Nor does it yield Him.

Nothing is new,

This was, is, and will be true.

He goes before me,

He knows what I will be.

Spreading the heavens,

He knows no end

He makes all things new

By His truth.

Nothing surprises Him,

For He knows ev’ry whim.

Not subjected to time,

As He dwells on high.

He is near.

He is here.

He is there.

He is everywhere!

He speaks into existence

And nothing can resist.

He was, He is, and will be

Always the Lord of me.

He knows no time,

Calling the high tide.

Fulfilling ev’ry purpose,

He meets the needs of us.

He is our need

From birth to eternity.

In the beginning,

In the ending.

Such is our Rock--

Timeless God.

This shows God to be omnipresent, not just in one time or place; and for all of time. Some lines in this poem, also suggest the ways by which he is so powerful.
