What Am I?

What Am I?

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

What Am I?

Open the doors,

Let me pour.

Mountains high

Touching the sky.

Let me soar

And explore.

Flowing as rivers,

O how I shimmer!

Existing forever,

Giving up, never.

Making seekers

Into believers.

I come in and dwell,

Immaculate in detail.

Spreading far and wide,

I refuse to hide.

Covering all,

I answer the call.

I hope all things,

Healing broken wings.

An anchor to the soul,

In the heart I grow.

Fulfilling promise,

I am cherished.

Giving all,

I cover flaws.

I know no wrong,

Granting my song.

I am eternal, by and by…

What am I?

What are you, eh? Huh, how long have you got; and sure you really want to know?

No, I was just teasing you. Really, it must be the Holy Spirit - which you have in mind as the answer to your question..? On the otherhand, you could have been thinking of spiritual salvation; possibly? Or, Christ's gift of offering people the choice to follow him..?
