The Savior's Lullaby

The Savior's Lullaby

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

The Savior’s Love

The glory due His Name

Filled heaven in perfect majesty.

Worshiped and praised,

Lord of peace.

Leaving all of heaven,

God gave His greatest sacrifice.

The manger He lay in

Held the Bread of life.

Dreaming sweet,

The adoring angels visited the Christ.

Singing to the Prince of peace

The Savior’s Lullaby.

So tiny and mild,

God’s love came down for us.

The Christ child

More than enough.

The promise come,

Pure Love in human flesh.

His will begun,

The heart of God in His chest.

What power did reside

That a little baby held all of heaven

Nestled inside!

What a treasure within!

All heaven rejoiced

Over the birth of Jesus Christ.

Angels sung as one voice

The Savior’s lullaby.
