The Eternity Changer

The Eternity Changer

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

The Eternity Changer

Bells ringing,

Angels singing.

Joy divine,

Holy Christ.

Gentle touch,

Heaven’s love.

Gift from the Creator

The perfect mediator

Bridge God and man,

A promise to stand.

The way to the Father

Of the living water.

Savior pure,

Sin’s cure.

Cradled promise,

Gift cherished.

Secured fate,

Heaven’s wake.

The Eternity Changer

Lay asleep in a manger.

Heaven’s Bread of Life

Welcoming all to God on high,

Slumbering in peace,

Of heaven did He dream.

Death’s gate

Lay waste.

Promise foretold

Above gold.

Christ born,

Eternity adorn!

This gives thanks and praise, for at least three key tenants of the great Christian faith:

The creation itself.

Opportunity for redemption from sin, and dying with our sins forgiven.

Also, the tenderness of Christ's love; and chance to start again - on the life journey of a Christian.

I understand, that some of the lines make other points too.
