Gift of the Savior

Gift of the Savior

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Gift of the Savior

Seeking diligently

The night of a miracle true

Blessed is the earth

To gain Truth.

Angels praised

The God who abundantly cared.

For He came to abide

Amongst earthly wares.

His promise kept,

His merciful love splendidly fulfilled.

God on high delivered

According to His will.

Emptying heaven,

He poured out His redeeming love.

Jesus was born

From the storehouse above.

Living, He showed us how to live,

Faithful unto the holy Father in all His ways.

Dying, He bore our shame,

Rising, eternal life He gave.

From the baby

To the cross at Calvary,

Jesus is the gift,

Savior unto eternity.

This one expresses a variety of different Biblical truths, as if all part of God's wonderful gift to humanity.

He gave his only son, allowing him to be put to death on the cross; so that repentant sinners might be saved - for ever afterwards.

Thanks for the read request, and carey on writing. Enjoy your thanksgiving and Christmas too, Melinda.
