Rich in love.

Abounding in grace.

My soul’s friend

In all I face.

 

Fear vanishes

When Your Name I speak.

Worries dissipate

As You my spirit seeks.

 

To You

I call in desperate times,

And Your Presence

Calms this heart of mine.

 

Thank You

For Your mercy each day.

May I forever

Give You praise.

 

To You

I call when I need my Friend.

When I’m sad,

This sounds as if you know what a strong and genuine friendship, can really mean. Past generations, would often expect this to be the norm; but today's modern society is somewhat different. Equally, this poem could be a tribute to your good spiritual faith; whilst also portraying that bond as a committed friendship? After all, this friend as described, offers grace, mercy and love too. I admit to being merely agnostic, rather than Christian. But, partly because I am probably just not a good enough person; to always stay true to certain Christian beliefs. I think that I would be a devoted follower, if only I could. But, I still share a variety of the same values as yourself. I hope that doesn't put you off, Melinda. All we must do is believe that Jesus is the son of God and that He lived and died to save us. We don't need to be "Good enough" because Jesus removed our sins.. So, God no longer sees our sins.... He only sees Jesus. Talk to you later, my friend. :)
