The Birds TestifyA Poem by Melinda McQueenThe Birds Testify
The sound of birds Fill the tall, leafy trees. Perched in wonderment, Singing their melodies.
Attuned to where they are, They take in the surroundings. Perfectly content are they to Steadfastly and joyfully sing.
Welcoming morn’s light, Rejoicing over a new day. Calling near and far off, To hear what the birds say.
Lifting up to the heavens, Soaring on feathered wings. Fearful not of what comes In what a day may bring.
The beauty of Creation Clap hands in a content sigh. With beautiful song do The birds testify.
