Living TreesA Poem by Melinda McQueenLiving Trees
Shades of green Dance ‘round their life source. Claimed from roots Of their life force.
Limbs strong Hold on through storms, Turning upward To praise though torn.
From seeds Buried in nutrient soil, They raise From much toil.
Created to sustain, They solemnly breathe and feed. A connected network Of a living species.
Mounting up, Touching the blue heavens. Roots grounded, Springing from lowly dens.
Stretching arms Continuously praise the Father. Nourishing always, By
the Living Water. Melinda McQueen Rodgers 7/20/24 © 2024 Melinda McQueenFeatured Review
