Living Trees

Living Trees

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Living Trees

Shades of green

Dance ‘round their life source.

Claimed from roots

Of their life force.

Limbs strong

Hold on through storms,

Turning upward

To praise though torn.

From seeds

Buried in nutrient soil,

They raise

From much toil.

Created to sustain,

They solemnly breathe and feed.

A connected network

Of a living species.

Mounting up,

Touching the blue heavens.

Roots grounded,

Springing from lowly dens.

Stretching arms

Continuously praise the Father.

Nourishing always,

By the Living Water.

A beautiful poem for the trees dear Melinda. I am a tree-hugger myself. The trees, the oceans and lakes. Gifts from God for us to appreciate. Thank you dear friend for sharing the outstanding poetry. I did enjoy.
