In His HandsA Poem by Melinda McQueenIn His Hands
The
sea knows its boundary, Stars
lend their shine Caterpillars
turn into butterflies Birds
instinctively build nests They
soon become one with the sky, The
colors of a sunset testify So
much points to the Creator, How
can one not believe His
bow of promise still stretches out, He’s
not far off, but all around, Babies
grow in mothers’ wombs, When
touching a newborn babe’s cheek, He
made a way for everything, He
did it all, Not
only did He create the world, With
the breath in our lungs, Like
the birds and trees How
can one not believe When
you lose hope, For
His love for you stands, Melinda McQueen Rodgers 6/20/24 © 2024 Melinda McQueen |
