Joy EnternalA Poem by Melinda McQueenJoy Eternal
It never leaves me, It is forever constant indeed. It breathes its own, It ever unfolds.
No matter the season I’m in, It lives in me, having no end. As a sacred promise, it dwells; Joy eternal, ever well.
Though trials come, And hard days, a great sum… Still, my soul is filled with joy unshakable, For it’s from God, unbreakable.
Life is hard! Breaking the heart. Still, it’s a bubbling spring, Joy eternal, my Savior brings.
So, let me lift my heart, battered, Though my pieces are scattered. My joy no matter my lot, For You, Lord, are my God!
Joy, fill my heart always, Joy… my stay. Joy, Christ, my all. Joy Eternal.
