Love and Lift Up

Love and Lift Up

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Love and Left Up

Keeping love still

When people go away.

Remembering times

Shared in earlier days.

Forced to let go,

But keeping them in prayer,

Though they know not

How much you care.

Doing their own thing,

You wish them the very best.

You may wonder

If ever they feel your existence.

It’s ok either way,

For they are still seen.

You trust they are ok,

As you must believe.

Keep loving.

Keep praying.

Keep lifting.

Keep claiming.

Special forever,

A time in the past.

Bow your head,

And of the Father, ask.

Ask Him to cradle

Them in His loving hands.

For He knows them best

And His love ever stands.

Love and lift them always!

A lovely, relatable write and message. I believe that love and friendship shared, if it is true, never dies though life sometimes gets in the way of our keeping in touch. Memories can fade, we may feel hurt (or unwittingly hurt others) through simple neglect. But keeping those we cared about deeply in our thoughts and prayers provides the best salve for old wounds. God heals all wounds. And so can love if we simply let it, acknowledge it gratefully, and wish those we love be they far or near well. I bid you peace.
