My Typed Words

My Typed Words

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

My Typed Words

Let my hand type words

which my tongue can’t speak

Give me words to say
that I may reach.

Make my heart soft
that I may hear from You.

Anoint me as Your vessel
though I don’t feel worthy to be used.

Even so, here I am,
knowing You can use even me.

Let my typed words spread
like a wildfire to all in need.

Praises to Your Name
is my love offering to You my King.

Let these words be lifted to You,
as a tune I cannot sing.

As I write this,
I bow my whole heart.

Your Spirit lives in me,
love You import.

You are worthy
to be glorified beyond my meager way.

Still, I long to use
my typed words to bring You praise.

Dang.
Not a huge fan of higher authority or deity, especially with how I was raised extremely religious.
But this is a powerful write, regardless of its intended direction, I forged my own understanding amid the crossed paths.
I am very glad you find comfort in poetry, it is the ultimate equalizer between old and poor.
Rap was first created by the impoverished, as you do not need anything to begin.
You just open your mouth (or pick up a pen/keyboard), and you are knee-deep in the craft.
Wonderful, and thanks for sharing

A beautiful and finely created poem that praises the creator of the All Around and its meaning. Thank you so much, Melinda, your words extend far more and wider than a screen, my friend.

' As I write this,
I bow my whole heart.

Your Spirit lives in me,
love You import.'

Was my pleasure dear Melinda and you are welcome.
Very interesting piece Melinda. I've been contemplating spirituality myself lately, it's the great mystery after all... may you find light and purpose and meaning.

If you need someone to talk with, I'm here.
No words written in praise of God are meager and no vessel unworthy of His love when written or uttered with a pure heart. One word of true praise from an honest woman or man are worth more and far likelier to reach His ears than all the combined writings of the wisest dissemblers. Thank you for another effective spiritual write.
